Having a healthy mindset about food is key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately, food can be a source of stress and guilt for many people.

To have a healthy mindset about food, here are a few tips to keep in mind:
Eat for nourishment, not for pleasure. Eating should be about nourishing your body, not necessarily about pleasure. While your meals should be enjoyable, focus on eating nutrient-dense foods that will fuel and nourish your body.
I was watching a video recently and it said that eating all the time actually ages the body, because the cells do not have time to rejuvenate since they are working overtime to process food. Assuming that new cells are the ones that bring us a youthful glow to ur skin, then old, overworked ones, probably bring us an aging, dull look. Makes sense?
The new rule I made for myself based n a handful of videos that made sense to me, is not to eat just because I am hungry, eat when my energy is low. Eating is habitual, and so we will always go to the kitchen to snack when we are not even hungry. Check out this cookbook to kick cravings for good HERE. There needs to be a conscious mindset about the amount of food we put into our bodies. Don't just eat because you are bored or because you are sitting with friends that are eating. Ask yourself, am I even hungry?
Practice mindful eating. Mindful eating is an important part of maintaining a healthy relationship with food. When you eat, focus on the act of eating, not on what you're eating. Be aware of the food’s taste, texture, and smell. Pay attention to your body’s signals and stop eating when you’re full.
My rule is to eat beautiful food, full of high vibrating energy. I love cooking, and preparing my dinner even though it is just me, a party of 1. It is an act of love, that has been a huge part of my spiritual growth. I am obsessed with dinner salads. The best way to et your nutrients is not to cook them down, so I always find a way to do yummy salads with a protein.
Mindset about food is to not label foods as "good" and "bad." All foods can fit into a healthy diet. Instead of labeling foods as being "good" or "bad," focus on eating a variety of nutrient-dense foods in moderation.
Avoid "diet" mentality. Diets are often restrictive and unsustainable, leading to feelings of deprivation, guilt, and ultimately failure. Instead of following a diet, focus on building healthy habits that will help you achieve your health goals.
